Work Readiness Program
At St. Marys Residential Training Center, our Work Program goes beyond traditional vocational training to offer individuals with developmental disabilities a comprehensive pathway to meaningful employment and greater independence.
Through a blend of hands-on experience, personalized support, and skill-building opportunities, participants in our Work Program engage in real-world job placements tailored to their unique interests and abilities. From retail and hospitality to landscaping and food service, our diverse range of job placements allows individuals to explore different industries and discover their passions.
Under the guidance of our experienced staff and dedicated job coaches, participants not only learn essential job skills but also develop invaluable workplace competencies such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. With a focus on individualized support and ongoing mentorship, we empower participants to overcome challenges, build confidence, and succeed in competitive employment environments.
Beyond vocational training, our Work Program emphasizes community integration and social inclusion, providing opportunities for participants to forge meaningful connections, expand their social networks, and contribute actively to their communities. By fostering a sense of pride, purpose, and belonging, we enable individuals to realize their full potential and lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.
